Daun.

Bagaimana mungkin sehelai daun bisa jatuh terhempas.
Jatuh hingga menapakkan tubuhnya hingga menyentuh tanah.
Tanah yang gersang.
Tanah yang sepertinya tak lagi memiliki kehidupan.

Entah apa yang dilakukan daun di bawah sana.
Bukankah seharusnya dia senang berada di atas sana.
Bersama tangkai-tangkai pohon yang bersigap tegak di atas akar raksasa.
Bersama alunan hembusan angin yang menyentuh tubuh mereka.

Apakah daun tak lagi diterima oleh pohon?
Apakah pohon memiliki rasa dendam terhadap daun?
Mengapa daun-daun yang lain tidak menolongnya saat jatuh?
Apakah mereka sudah tidak bersahabat lagi?

Mungkinkah persahabatan mereka sebatas hembusan angin yang datang?
Seandainya aku bisa melihat apa yang terjadi.
Mungkin aku bisa menghentikan jatuhnya daun ke tanah yang kering.
Entahlah, aku tak tau apa yang akan terjadi selanjutnya terhadap daun.

Anginpun membawanya pergi jauh meninggalkan si pohon raksasa.
Sekejap mata bayangan daun pun lenyap bersama hilangnya angin.
Entah kemana angin membawanya pergi.
Mungkinkah itu semua akhir dari perjalanan daun?

Sejenak ku merenung memandangi pohon di depan mataku.
Memandangi tiap helai daun yang ada disana.
Bergerak lembut seiring dengan hembusan angin.
Membuat mata seolah terhipnotis oleh gerakannya.

Semakin dalam ku memandanginya, semakin aku tersadar.
Bahwa daun tidaklah jauh berbeda dengan manusia.
Daun pun hanya makhluk kecil yang diciptakan oleh Tuhan.
Begitu juga dengan si pohon raksasa.

Mungkin kita hanya berfikir bahwa itu hanyalah daun.
Tapi mereka bernafas selayaknya kita menghirup dan menghela nafas.
Kita semua sama di mata Tuhan.
Kita semua milik Tuhan.
Dan kita semua akan kembali kepada Tuhan.

Jangan salahkan pohon jika daun jatuh.
Dan jangan kau bersedih jika daun berjatuhan di tanah bumi.
Semua terjadi atas kehendak Tuhan.
Karena Tuhan lah satu-satunya penguasa di muka bumi ini.

WHERE DOES LOVE GO

If the heart is the place love comes from

Then where does love go when it dies?

Back to the heart where it came from

Or does it turn into tears in the eyes?

But even if one knew the answer

What would one possibly gain?

Would the knowledge of where love had gone to

Ease the heartache and the pain?

Love .... Love, What is this feeling?

Why is it born if only to die?

And when it leaves you, what’s left inside

To make the heart glow, and leave tears in the eyes?

Why is it one can’t quite realize

What a blessing a true love can be?

Must one lose love to know its prizeless

Where does love go when it leaves us?

This question will always remain, for we will never know

The answer until we find love once again.
